In this dialog you can configure settings, that are valid for all new projects you create

Source path |
Enter the path of the directory/folder containing the files you want copied. You can also use relative pathnames like '..' or '.'. |
Destination path |
Enter the path where you want your backup file to be stored. |
Date format |
A date will be attached to each backup. Chose the format of the date here. |
After the backup |
Decide here if you want BackupXpress to take any action after the backup. For example shutting down Windows. |
Autostart |
Start your projects automatically without double clicking the project. |
Log all copied files |
Keep track of all backups in a logbook. |
Don't show any errors |
This option disables error messages during a backup. This is only suggested if you exactly know that you'll receive error messages and they can be ignored. |
Overwrite protected files |
Write protected files will be ignored during the backup. If you know that there are write protected files in your backup which need to be saved, we suggest to check this setting. |
Autosave |
After you've created a new backup project and you close BackupXpress, the project will be saved automatically. |
Set write protection after copying |
If your backup includes sensible files you need to write protect, you can do so here automatically after the backup. |
Use date of the youngest file |
Every backup receives a date stamp. If you check this option, the date stamp will be the date of the youngest file included. |
Warn if disc space is below 10% |
You'll be warned if the disc space of the destination path is below 10% |
