Open

Opens a new or existing project of BackupXpress.

Save / Save as ...

Save your project.

Close

Close the project.

Project Options

Click here to change the configuration of your project.

Project Central

Click here to change the configuration of your project.

Project Options

Brings you to the Welcome screen where you can choose what to do with the BackupXpress.

Recent Projects

Shows you a list of projects you've recently worked on.

Add group

Click here to add another project group.

Delete group

If you want to delete a project group, click here.

Add predefined group

We've already created a couple of groups for you. If you want to backup for example the folder "My document", just choose the appropriate out of the menue. You don't need to enter any more information.

Convert to Synchronize Group

If you have two folders that need to be synchronized, click on this button. This will duplicate your group and automatically swop the scource and destination file in order to synchronize.

Select / Deselect all

Uncheck or check your groups in the main window.

Configuration

This will lead you to all your project settings.

Show description

Click here to show or hide the project description in the lower part of the main dialog.

Beginner Interface

If you click here, BackupXpress will hide most of the tabs you only need if you do special backups.

Explore source / dest dir.

If you want to have a look into the folder you want to save your backup in, you can do so. You can choose between exploring the source, or the destination directory.

Logfile

BackupXpress creates a logfile every time you backup your files. You have different options to choose from.

Refresh

Hit Refresh in order to update your setting.

Auto refresh

With auto refresh, your data will be refreshed automatically. This is a suggested setting.

Active

Click on "Active" to see your schedule.

Add current project to scheduler

If you want the backup to run at a certain time and date, add it to the scheduler.

Configure

You need to configure the scheduler in order to run backups at certain times.

Start backup

Run your backup.

Restore backup

Here you can restore your backups in case of an emergency.

Check network

Check the network for files that need to be backed up

Check drives

Check your drives for files that need to be backed up.
